How this rug size calculator decides
- Living room: keep 40 to 50 cm of bare floor around the rug and land the sofa’s front legs on it.
- Bedroom: the rug should reach at least 60 cm beyond each side of the bed, placed under the lower two thirds.
- Dining room: allow roughly 60 cm beyond every table edge so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.
