Editorial standards
Loom & Glow is an independent editorial site. We write about home decor, small-space living, and natural textures — and we do it without sponsorships, paid placements, or brand partnerships that influence our editorial choices.
Every recommendation on this site comes from genuine interest in the piece. If we feature a product, it’s because we believe it earns its place in a calm home — not because a brand paid us to mention it.
Affiliate links
Some links on Loom & Glow are affiliate links. This means that if you click on a link to a product and make a purchase, Loom & Glow may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay stays the same whether you use our link or not.
We currently participate in one affiliate program:
- Nkuku (via Awin) — handcrafted home decor and natural textures
Whenever an article contains affiliate links, you’ll see a clear disclosure at the top of the article — usually in italic — letting you know before you read further. We don’t bury this information in fine print.
What we don’t do
- We don’t accept sponsored posts or pay-to-play placements
- We don’t write fake reviews or pretend to test products we haven’t seen
- We don’t add affiliate links to brands we wouldn’t recommend independently
- We don’t sell email addresses or share reader data with brands
- We don’t use deceptive scarcity tactics, fake countdowns, or pressure-driven copy
How we choose what to feature
Our editorial choices are driven by three questions:
- Does it fit a calm, minimal home? — We feature pieces with quiet design, natural materials, and lasting visual appeal.
- Would we keep it ourselves? — If we wouldn’t choose it for our own home, it doesn’t appear on Loom & Glow.
- Is it ethically made? — Where possible, we prefer brands with transparent sourcing, fair production, and craft-led design.
Advertising & monetization
Loom & Glow is currently reader-supported through affiliate partnerships. We are evaluating display advertising through Google AdSense and similar networks, which may appear on the site as our audience grows. When ads do appear, they will be served by third parties and clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Ads do not influence our editorial choices.
For information on how we handle visitor data, please read our Privacy Policy.
